AUSTRALIAN BEAUTY CLINIC

HIFU

HIFU (High Intensity Focus Ultrasound) is a medical grade treatment, which aims to tighten and lift the skin. HIFU treatments are considered to be less invasive and painless compared to other forms of treatments available. It uses ultrasound energy to stimulate the production of collagen in the SMAS layer, resulting in firmer, tighter and more youthful skin.

Our HIPRO-V HIFU Machine is the Gold Standard for HIFU technology. It is also a machine that is approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).

In Australia there are 3 different types of HIFU. The first one is a 1D machine, which fires one dot at a time. The second one is a one-line machine, that fires one row of dot energy at a time. And then we have the multi-liner machines. Our HIPRO-V HIFU that we use is different again, being an active device, much like diagnostic ultrasound. It allows for continuous delivery of shots over the treatment area without being restricted to line by line delivery, this results in a more tailored treatment making it faster and more comfortable while achieving phenomenal results!

HIFU technology is not like lasers, radio frequency and other technologies, unlike a facelift, it is non-surgical.

The HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) energy is deposited at depth under the surface of the skin to deliver precise and fractional ultrasound thermal energy. The specific ability of HIFU to focus energy in fine points allows us to target the SMAS layer without damage or disrupting the epidermal tissue of the skin.

This energy stimulates both tissue firming and new collagen production, with no disruption to the outer skin surface (no scarring). It is especially suitable for facial volume reduction, treating sagging facial skin and removing fine lines and creases bought about by loss of skin elasticity.

- Fine lines & wrinkles

- Loose saggy skin

- Decreased skin elasticity

- Stubborn belly fat

- Love handles

- Inner thighs

- Knees

- Facial volume reduction

HIFU body treatments utilise a thermal response at precise depths to target the subcutaneous fat layers that we have within our body. Every person has a different fat distribution and encounters what they regard as “problem” areas.

HIFU can target these problem areas in two ways:

- Fat reduction via targeted heating of the fat cells at depth to allow the body to break them down and excrete them. The technology does not simply shrink them, it actually breaks it down allowing for permanent fat reduction.

- Targeting at a shallower layer also allows for the smoothing of the dimpled fat that is visualised as cellulite, this produces tighter and smoother skin. The fat reduction treatments of the body are achieved over a series of treatments one month apart to allow for proper expulsion of the broken down fat.

HIFU may cause a slight redness to the skin, but this usually disappears within a matter of hours after the treatment. Your skin may feel like it has had a workout for several weeks afterwards. Makeup application after the treatment can be made to mask any mild redness that may have occurred. Some people may also suffer from a slight swelling, tenderness, numbness or tingling sensation. These symptoms are usually mild and only last temporarily.

HIFU may cause some discomfort. Comfort levels can vary from person to person, but the sensation only lasts while the energy is being delivered.

During the treatment delivery, you will feel tiny amounts of energy being deposited to precise depths, indicating that the collagen-building process has been initiated.

There is no downtime! You can return to your normal activities immediately after your procedure without any post-treatment restrictions or requirements. Your skin might appear flushed at first, but the redness should disappear within a few hours. Other, less common post-procedural effects may include temporary bruising or numbness on small areas of skin. As with any medical procedure, there is the possibility for other rare effects.

For any questions on HIFU treatments please contact us for a FREE consultation. Treatments will only be performed after a consultation – this is to ensure we can offer the correct treatment for the best and long-lasting results.

People who have open lesions or wounds, cystic acne, existing keloid scarring, auto- immune disorder mechanical or dermal implants, implanted electrical devices, metal or plastic implants within the treated area, pregnancy or breastfeeding, should not proceed with HIFU treatments.

HIFU results will continue improving gradually for up to six months following the treatment. You will not be frozen in time. After six months, as with any age defying treatment, your skin will naturally continue to age but HIFU can give you fresher, younger looking skin for approximately 12 to 24 months after your treatment. Follow up treatments can assist with the ageing process, which varies from person to person, but are recommended every 12 to 24 months to maintain results.
